The Laulima Giving Program’s Keiki 4 Keiki initiative invites private school classrooms to “adopt” a matching public-school class and provide them with much-needed school supplies, ensuring every student begins the year equipped, confident and ready to thrive.
Keiki for Keiki helps foster:
- community connection
- the importants of helping others
- social responsibility
- a positive school culture
- a sense of being valued and supported
By participating in Keiki 4 Keiki, students in private schools can experience the joy of giving while directly supporting their peers – many of whom come from low-income or homeless households – and helping teachers who often pay for supplies out of their own pockets.
