In an inspiring community effort, Macy’s has initiated a generous school supply donation campaign aimed at supporting students in need. This initiative was led by key community figures, including Michele Ramie-Loo, Charles Stevens, Alvin Unciano, and Denise Salazar, who collaborated to ensure the success of this noble cause.
The campaign was conceived as a response to the ongoing challenges faced by students in underprivileged areas, especially in accessing essential school supplies. Recognizing the importance of education and the impact of proper resources on student performance, Macy’s Hawai`i committed to making a tangible difference through this donation drive.
The campaign successfully collected a wide array of school supplies, including notebooks, pens, hand sanitizers, pencils, backpacks, and other essential items. These supplies will be distributed to several Title 1 schools on the Leeward side of Oahu, significantly alleviating the financial burden on families and enhancing the learning environment for students.
